Following the successful launch of the first issue of the Green Mobility Magazine, Ibex Publishing is delighted to announce the theme for the second issue of the Green Mobility Magazine: Fit for 55 and the European Green Deal.
Specifically, Issue II, which is planned for the first quarter of 2023, will provide editorial and analytical coverage of all aspects of the FF55 package and the Green Deal which applies to, or interacts with, any forms of mobility, transportation, freight, logistics, and the energy required for the aforesaid.
In particular, the following EU Directives, Decisions, Regulations, and Legislation will be studied and covered at length:
- 2014/94/EU Revision of the Directive on Deployment of Alternative Fuels Infrastructure
- Carbon border adjustment mechanism as part of the European green deal
- Creation of a Social Climate Fund to help EU citizens meet the social and economic costs of the climate and energy transition
- Revision of the EU emission trading system (ETS) and Directive 2003/87/EC
- Fuel EU Maritime – Sustainable maritime fuels
- ReFuelEU Aviation – Sustainable Aviation
- Regulation (EU) 2019/631 Revision on setting CO2 emission performance standards for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles
- Revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive
- Revision of the EU Gas Directive
- Revision of the Renewable Energy Directive
- And many more.
Additionally, Issue II of the Green Mobility Magazine will explore other topics and themes relevant to the nexus between transportation and environmental sustainability, including, but not limited to, policy, new technologies, commercial development, and sustainability communications.
Call for Submissions!
Whilst the magazine’s launch is far from imminent, the team at Ibex Publishing is seeking written contributions on the relationship between Fit for 55 and mobility from MEPs, European Commission Officials, policy pundits, OEMs, transport operators, researchers, and all those concerned by green mobility and sustainable transport policies.

Moreover, in a first for Ibex Publishing, Issue II of the Green Mobility Magazine will be launched during an in-person cocktail event in Brussels, Belgium.
The date and venue of the Green Mobility Magazine Fit for 55 Evening Summit will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The objective of the reception, the Green Mobility Magazine Fit for 55 Evening Summit, is to provide magazine contributors, esteemed guests, sustainability experts, and transport professionals the opportunity to connect with peers and to discuss Fit for 55, green mobility, energy, and current affairs in a relaxing and informal environment.
In addition to networking, drinks, and canapés, attendees will also enjoy a number of short topical and insightful speeches from leading Fit for 55, EU policy, transport and sustainability figures.
Attendance to the Green Mobility Magazine Fit for 55 Evening Summit will be free of charge for magazine contributors, staff members of the European Commission, Members of the European Parliament (and their staff), representatives and members of diplomatic or foreign missions (and their staff), and members of the media.
Tickets for the Green Mobility Magazine Fit for 55 Evening Summit will be priced between €25 (for registered students) and €250. Early-bird and group discounts will be made available.
