The two-day maritime conference is scheduled to take place at Copenhagen’s AC Bella Sky Convention Center on 23-24 February 2027.
World Maritime Forum 2027 will return to Copenhagen for two days of industry dialogue at the AC Bella Sky Convention Center. Organised by IGGS Group, the gathering will unite shipowners, ship managers, shipbuilders, ports, authorities, maritime suppliers and service providers. It comes at a time when shipping companies must make critical decisions about fleet investment, operational continuity, workforce preparedness and the introduction of digital solutions into everyday operations.
Around 800 attendees, 70 speakers and 50 exhibitors are expected to take part, with more than 300 buyers anticipated among the delegates. The audience will include representatives from fleet, project, procurement and technical management, in addition to professionals working in sustainability, crewing, port operations, finance and IT. This breadth of expertise reflects the growing need for cooperation between departments when making vessel-related decisions that affect budgets and shore-based systems.
The 2027 programme will welcome new speakers representing established shipping companies, ports and respected maritime organisations. They will use their direct industry experience to provide updates and perspectives on fleet investment, port strategy, cyber threats, artificial intelligence, vessel efficiency and the skills needed by the future maritime workforce.
The event will include twelve new panel discussions and two on-stage conversations addressing the principal strategic and operational issues confronting maritime businesses. The sessions will also consider where industry investment may be required in the years ahead. Subjects will include IMO measures, EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime, alternative fuels and bunkering infrastructure, retrofit performance, transition finance, sanctions and shadow-fleet risks, cyber and GNSS security, crew skills, AI, vessel design, and remote and autonomous operations. The programme will connect regulatory requirements and operational challenges with investment priorities involving vessels, ports, infrastructure, people and technology.
A dedicated exhibition area beside the conference will allow suppliers to present their products, services, capabilities and latest innovations. The exhibition will cover propulsion, fleet-performance systems, maintenance, safety, connectivity, cybersecurity, ship repair, vessel design, interior solutions and shipbuilding. Maritime buyers will be able to compare the benefits promoted by suppliers with the financial, technical and operational considerations discussed during the conference.
As a major maritime centre, Copenhagen provides a suitable backdrop for an event representing such a broad section of the industry. The AC Bella Sky Convention Center will also keep the conference sessions, exhibition and business meetings together within one complex. By placing regulation, vessel operations, investment planning and supplier expertise in the same setting, the forum could help industry decision-makers determine which fleet, technology and organisational solutions are ready to be implemented more widely before the end of the decade.
