Letter From the Editor: As 2026 Begins, the Focus for Green Mobility is Delivery

As 2026 begins, the focus for Green Mobility Magazine is clear: delivery.

Over the next twelve months, we will continue to develop the PolicyDriven podcast, hosted by Mark Watts FCILT FRSA and yours truly, building on its first few months with more in-depth conversations that bring together voices from transport, energy, and public policy. Beyond discussion, the podcast is also a platform to showcase decision-makers themselves, their professional backgrounds, institutional roles, and the realities they face as they shape policy. Our aim is to give listeners a clearer understanding not only of decisions but also of who takes them and under what constraints.

In the coming weeks, we will also publish a new book by Giles Bailey on cycling and micromobility policy. Designed by our Issue IV Lead Designer, Bradley Sansom, the book examines how cycling and micromobility can reshape communities, from major European cities to smaller urban areas. It explores health, justice, economic development and everyday urban life, and is written for policymakers, industry leaders and engaged citizens who want to move beyond slogans and better understand what works, and why.

In April, we will publish the fifth annual edition of Green Mobility Magazine. This issue looks squarely at delivery over the next ten years, at a moment when governments are reassessing how to translate sustainable mobility ambition into practical outcomes. With 2026 marking the start of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport, the relevance of this discussion is particularly strong. Preparations are well advanced, and engagement from policymakers, industry, academia and civil society has been especially robust.

In May, we will once again be at the ITF – International Transport Forum at the OECD Summit in Leipzig. However, for the first time, Green Mobility Magazine will have its own stand, allowing us to showcase & share our editorial work directly with senior transport decision-makers from across the OECD and beyond. We will also highlight the work of our partners and contributors and use the Summit as a focal point for in-person exchanges with readers, policymakers, and industry leaders. ITF2026

Above all, the year ahead is also about strengthening the Green Mobility community. More conversations, more opportunities to meet in person, and more collaboration across sectors will soon be announced and made available to all of those engaged with green mobility.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, contributed to, read, listened to, challenged or partnered with us so far. I very much look forward to continuing the conversation throughout 2026.

Partner With the Green Mobility Magazine in 2026

As we move into 2026, sustainable transport stakeholders face a demanding policy environment shaped by implementation pressures, constrained public finances, and intensified scrutiny of industrial competitiveness across Europe. Institutions are focused on delivery. The regulatory frameworks agreed in recent years are entering into force, being reviewed, and influencing investment, compliance strategies, and market behaviour.

In 2025, the Green Mobility Magazine expanded its editorial and convening work, including a strengthened annual print edition, the continued development of our weekly policy briefings, the introduction of a new podcast, and in-person stakeholder events across Europe. These activities brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers and reinforced our role as a trusted, independent platform for substantive engagement. This work underpins the partnership opportunities outlined below.

We invite you to collaborate with us throughout 2026. Strategic partnerships with the Green Mobility Magazine support credible visibility, targeted outreach, and authoritative engagement with a specialised audience.

Partnership with the Green Mobility Magazine offers direct access to a relevant audience that is actively shaping Europe’s transport transition. We would be pleased to discuss these opportunities at your convenience and to identify a format suited to your objectives for the year ahead.
