Diesel Buses: The Writing is on the Wall.

Across the world gasoline and diesel buses are set to become a thing of the past.

 

In Kenya, a start-up called Opibus has secured 7.5 million USD from At One Ventures, Factor[e] Ventures, and Ambo Ventures to scale its electric bus and motorcycle manufacturing capacity.

Likewise, another start-up, BasiGo, has announced plans to sell BYD-based electric buses in the Kenyan market following support from Climate Capital and Third Derivative.

Meanwhile, in the UK, The Go-Ahead Group plc has ordered twenty hydrogen powered buses from Wright bus, and Northern Ireland’s infrastructure minister announced the purchase of one hundred zero emissions buses for Translink, the public transport operator.
